This week will mark the first Sunday of Advent in the western Christian calendar. It is a time marked by sitting in the darkness in preparation for the coming of the light. Each week a candle is lit to signify something with which we sit in this period of expectation. The first candle represents hope.
During our time of meditation and reflection this week, we will sit with the candle of hope and reflect on the areas in which we seek hope in our lives.

As always, consider setting the space where you log on to Alignment. Perhaps light your own candle, have paper ready if you wish to journal, or drawing materials, if sketching while meditating is helpful for you.
We will sit in stillness for 30 min, and if anyone wishes to stay on longer to share any thoughts, you are welcome to stay after.
