Honoring Juneteenth. Prisoner No More by Dr. Amee Shah

Dr. Amee Shah will lead us in a reflection on her poem Prisoner No More. It is a powerful call for personal freedom through poetry and contemplation in honor of Juneteenth.

Dr. Amee Shah is a Professor of Health Science and the director of the Cross-Cultural Speech, Language, and Acoustics Research Lab at Stockton University. She is a board-certified, award-winning Speech-Language Pathologist, Speech Scientist, and internationally leading Cross-Cultural Communication coach working with premier hospitals and corporations. She is also a sociolinguist studying world’s languages and cultures. Apart from being a teacher, researcher, and scientist, she is also a published poet, writing on themes of human emotions and behavior, spirituality, nature, and more.
