Samhuinn is the Celtic celebration that marks the time and space that lies between - between now and then, between here and there, between life and death, between us and those who have gone before us. During this transitional time between summer and winter, the veil between this world and the next is thin. Christian traditions have incorporated this Celtic festival into the celebrations of All Saints Day, All Souls Day, Halloween, and Día de los Muertos.
Our contemplative practice this week will be led by the Rev. Margaret Somerville, as we open ourselves to the liminal space of Samhuinn and an awareness of the thinness of the veil that divides.
