Interfaith Contemplative Practices Class

“What we plant in the soil of contemplation, we shall reap in the harvest of action.” — Meister Eckhart

Join the Rev. Margaret Somerville for the second of four sessions of exploring contemplative practices from different faith traditions.
In this series on Wednesday evenings in February, we will explore a variety of contemplative practices, ones we might already use and ones that come to us from other traditions. Just as there are many ways to name God, so there are also many ways to seek connection with God. We will engage in contemplative practices from Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, and Buddhist traditions, and also take time to reflect on our experience and share our insights, as we explore our connection to and awareness of the divine both within us and beyond us.

The class is offered as part of the education program of the First Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia.
